The quality of care offered by Westacre Nursing Home is strongly linked to the quality and expertise of our staff. Our employment policies are available for inspection and we insist on strict adherence to statutory requirements, whilst retaining the feel of a “family orientated” business which provides excellent staff support. Management

Westacre Nursing Home is registered with the Care Quality Commission. Mrs. Diana Hearn has over 30 years’ experience as a nurse, nursing sister and manager. Her Qualifications include: R.G.N, Registered Managers Award, BSc (Hons) Clinical practice, Masters Degree in Dementia Care.

Staffing

The home has an excellent staffing ratio, which is administered by the General Manager, Deputy Manager and Matron. They are assisted by extremely well qualified and experienced Registered Nurses, and a dedicated team of well trained care assistants, many of who have NVQ level 3 in care of the older person.

We also have a full time activities coordinator, receptionist, domestic staff and caterers. There is also a general maintenance team who oversee the care of the buildings and its grounds.
